Barline Syrups (Барлайн) represent a unique technology of creating perfect flavors, based on refined cane sugar. The Barline brand syrups have been produced in Russia for 17 years. Leading experts in the field of spirits were involved in the formation of the brand, which saved time on market research as consumer needs and desired product qualities for successful popularization were known prior to project implementation. Initially, the focus was on contract manufacturing: small batches of syrups were produced at a private plant according to set tasks. It was a narrow range of the most in-demand flavors (coconut, grenadine, banana, melon, lime, Blue Curacao) used in cocktail preparation, effectively replacing expensive foreign positions. There was a need for syrups in cocktail recipes that required stirring. The use of syrups in mixing higher density beverages in a mixing glass requires more effort to blend. To address this issue, the recipe density was reduced by 10%. As a result, the sweetness of the syrups remained virtually unchanged, while their liquidity increased, allowing the syrup to dissolve in the cocktail faster.
With the increasing popularity of the brand, there was a need to expand production and distribution network. The decision to establish a full-fledged production facility with its own artesian well helped meet the demand for the necessary volume of products. Over 4 years, Barline syrup sales volumes have grown more than 5 times. Contracts with well-known suppliers of natural fruit and berry extracts allowed the use of premium selected raw materials in syrup production, expanding the Barline syrup range to 78 flavors and introducing 5 new products annually.
At present, the company's leading technologists continue to strive for further improvement. In addition to constantly enhancing the recipes of existing syrups, new products have been developed: toppings based on natural ingredients, Stevia-based Fitness Syrup line, as well as 100% natural fruit and berry purees.
